Suitable for anyone needing a simple GPS,

This GPS has generally worked great. The most frustrating thing about this Garmin has been the time it normally takes to link with satellites. In some instances, it has taken around 10 minutes. Also, in a couple instances, the Garmin has taken me to an entirely different place than it said it took me. Although that might be the result of user error, I do not understand how the Garmin can say I am in a location that I am not. This Garmin also will often indicate that a certain business is in a place where such a business has never been. That being said, I can't live without it! Please note that if you're looking for a GPS that can alert you to traffic jams and help you find ways to avoid them, you have to find a different one. This Garmin does not do that.

It took us (driver and navigator) a few hours of "messing around" to figure out the operation of this GPS. The menu system is logical and intuitive and it seems like we just kept discovering more and more features. Overall a great value for the $$$$.
By the way I have a Garmin model 45 hand-held GPS on my boat. It still works like a champ after nearly 15 years of hard use and abuse. For me GPS is spelled "G-A-R-M-I-N".

I bought this Garmin based on reviews from several sites.
I took it on a trip to tennesee and it performed as expected .
Its a great value and i would not hesitate to buy another one.

My stepson has been using this nuvi now since we purchased it for him... it is awesome, he loves it!! no reported problems/issues, it was plug and play. He raves about it!!

I got this as my first GPS. It is easy to use and very accurate. My first one was stolen from my truck. I quickly got a replacement and was happy again. I can't be without one now. I had some more bad luck when my new one went through the wash cycle in my pants. I was heartbroken, but miraculously after drying for 2 weeks it came back to life just before I was going to buy another and has been working fine for 2 months. Get one.
